Humanity 3.0

Perceiving body, place and time in alternate ways

Tessa Papavoine and Jiwa Saebu started the project Humanity 3.0 out of a shared fascination for the hyperreal world. As tech optimists, their aim is to evoke appreciation for the virtual world, change the view of collective thinking, and show the viewer how real the mixed reality continuum is.

We are going towards a world where we are being intimate with technology, they think it’s time to start thinking about how we plan this future. How can we get used to this disembodied place, what is our relationship going to be with the digital?

The story of humanity 3.0 was told in an interactive installation designed as a mixed reality environment through the combination of the physical and the virtual. Due to the corona measures, this has been translated into a mobile application.
